My Story

As a native of Trinidad and Tobago, I grew up in Florida with a love for nature and the wildlife it harbors. I found myself inspired by magazines and newsletters that depicted far away places and their wildlife, which were vulnerable to people and their greed. I worked in the newspaper industry for three years upon graduating from college, before I went to work  for an environmental non-profit calling people to action and educating them through press releases, newsletters and our organization's brochures. Now, as a stay-at-home mother of two, I have gone back to freelance writing and volunteering for another cause that has become another passion of mine -- raising awareness about human trafficking.
